About me …

Hey! My name is Jorja, I am an illustrator based in Norwich, Norfolk. Currently studying my final year of illustration at NUA!

My creative passions stem from my love for character design, the goofier the better! as well as Children’s picture books, narrative, and just a good story. My illustrations showcase my interest in history, specifically British history. All things nature, from critters, creatures, and beasts to flora. As well as a fondness for 1950s Rock and Roll, being heavily influenced by the music and fashion scenes of the past.

Whilst being fascinated by the fantastical world of children’s books I do not find myself restricted within my practice by also illustrating more mature themes, such as eerie and mysterious imagery and risque pin-up boudoir illustrations.

I’m a sucker for a good graphite pencil (especially an 8B) and I tend to refine my illustrations digitally. My style is based heavily on line weight and texture and is a constant throughout my practice despite the format, audience, and themes.

When I’m not designing my own silly little tattoos you can find me experimenting with my practice

As a Cancer survivor, I find myself being a very mature, resilient, and understanding person. Which greatly motivates me to continue developing my creative practice and be a better illustrator.
